My Coaching Specialities

I COACH INDIVIDUALS and GROUPS

Usually coaches have several specialties. That is, we are trained and experienced in helping clients reach several types of goals.  I specialize in working with:

EXECUTIVES

SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS

PROFESSIONALS

SMALL GROUPS

Executives

Successful executives are not born. They are made. They are made through deliberate training and mentoring.

I help make you a business executive. I use my corporate experience to coach business professionals to create objectives, determine benchmarks, and exceed your goals.

Everyone is unique. That is why individual executive coaching achieves significant results. Each person has different motivators and goals. I work with executives to help them quantify their long term objectives, create goals to reach those objectives, and implement plans to succeed.

Successful executives are also well-rounded individuals. I help my clients maintain a balanced life. You are able to manage personal, professional, and community goals while staying on the road to success.

Professional business people are often overwhelmed by the multiple responsibilities that fill their lives. They are expected to:

  • maintain a high level of professional competence,
  • continue to satisfy their current clients,
  • constantly market services to gain new clients,
  • keep life at home stable and nurturing for family,
  • and lead and manage a staff with all of the same issues.

I help my clients maintain the balance between professional and personal lives. My clients are able to be well-rounded, accomplished individuals who can take time to appreciate a high quality of life outside of work.

As a former vice-president of a major financial institution, I have led management teams, developed strategies, managed numerous projects, and created systems for people and technology.

SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS

One of my clients owns a thriving marketing business and she states as a single parent she started her business so she “could have more time for herself and her children”. Instead she ended up working harder and longer hours than when she worked in the corporate world. She came to realize that she had created an environment where she was alone, having to be the ultimate decision-maker in an ever increasing complex business. Managing your business alone can be more difficult than it needs to be.

Some of the things business owners I have coached want are:

  • To grow your business from small business to Bigger Business.
  • To have your business run so well that you can leave it for a little while and find it running smooth when you return.
  • To be confident enough to step out into the unknown and “go for it”.
  • To have more than just a “job” but own a thriving, dynamic business!

I primarily work directly with the owner of the business. Some of the things that we work on are uncovering and repairing direct business issues, how to enhance the flow or operations, any personal issues, where to find and penetrate new markets, identifying your successor, and, possibly your exit strategy . You and I collaborate regularly to:

  • Keep the objectives clear
  • Monitor the milestones and time frames.
  • Maximize your time and talents.
  • Implement structure to enhance productivity.
  • Continually evaluate situations that may afford opportunities.

PROFESSIONALS

As a professional you have some interesting challenges and opportunities.

In addition to the education, training and experience you have in your chosen profession you need to think and act like an entrepreneur if you are going to be assured of success in the business world.

Whether you are a stockbroker, Attorney, Realtor, trainer, therapist, sales representative, consultant, a physicians or chiropractor, as a professional you have the multiple responsibilities of:

  • maintaining a high level of professional competence,
  • while continuing to satisfy your current clients,
  • constantly marketing your services to potential new clients,
  • redefining and redesigning how you run your business,
  • and leading and managing a staff which supports you.

This is a lot of responsibility and complexity and of course you want a balance between your professional and personal life because both are important to you; and don’t forget that you need to sock away funds to support your life style after you leave your professional practice. Is there any wonder why so many professionals feel “burned out!”.

You can grow your professional practice like an entrepreneur if you come up with innovative solutions to your special problems. For example, professionals often find that their management skills are doubly stressed because few are trained to manage or communicate with nonprofessionals. Or your business has grown to the point that you have hired other professionals and now you are required to face and overcome the challenge of managing professionals like yourself.

Having an outside source to help identify ways to fix things that are broken or explore advantageous opportunities are two good reasons to hire a coach. It can be a great benefit to have and second set of eyes, ears and brain to bounce ideas, no matter how outrageous they may sound. Someone who can help you design, develop and implement a confident plan of action.

There are three things I continually encourage my clients to do in order to create a well balanced, joyful life.
They are:

  • do what you love,
  • do what you're really good at, and
  • do what is most profitable for you.

GROUPS

Are you a professional or business owner who has completed your first year or so of selling and you feel frustrated by the results? Or are you successful but you’re really ready to take it to the next level? Maybe you have a team of managers or sells personal that are ready to move to the level of extraordinary and you want to create an edge to help get them there.

Telephone Coaching allows other managers, sells teams, professionals or business owners to share experiences and learn through the dynamics and power of a group.

Participants will receive a wide range of benefits from group coaching, including better focus, empowering accountability, achieving more in less time, improved confidence and self-belief and most importantly perhaps - the realization of their goals.

I work with groups of 7 to 8 individuals in an environment that creates:

  • A safe Harbor of Honesty.
  • A Zone of Comfort in time of difficulty.
  • A collective reservoir of Wisdom.
  • A “WHINE” free zone.
  • A platform for Accountability and Responsibility.
  • A circle of caring Advocates.
